Transition design is a growing field of study that examines how to get from this world order to a more sustainable, just, and equitable world—a world where many worlds can coexist, to echo the Zapatista mantra.
I find myself questioning how we design the future of education to create the kind of future in society that we need: one that is more equitable, just, and results in better health outcomes as a result of the holistic design of society.
Large language models are here to stay, but they also present ethics and equity questions about their design, operationalization, and legacy that universities must address.
